Business aviation services provider has opened an office in Ghana, is currently managing four business aircraft in the region and aims to expand West African fleet.
Elit'Avia, a fully-integrated provider of business aircraft charter, management and operation services, today announced that it has opened an office in Accra, Ghana and is currently managing four business aircraft for West African clients, specifically: two Bombardier Global 6000s and a Bombardier Global XRS in Nigeria, plus a Dassault Falcon 2000 in Ghana. Management of these aircraft is a blend of both exclusive client use and charter availability.
From its headquarters in Slovenia, Elit'Avia specializes in providing comprehensive, tailor-made business aircraft management and operation services. Elit'Avia manages a fleet of Bombardier Globals, Bombardier Challengers, Dassault Falcons and has past experience managing Gulfstream G550s and G450s. By further developing its presence in West Africa, Elit'Avia is differentiating itself from competitors seeking to serve this emerging market. Elit'Avia also expects to take delivery of a Gulfstream G550, a Dassault Falcon 7x and a Bombardier Challenger 605 before the end of the year, which will nearly double the size of the regional fleet.
Elit'Avia also serves foreign clients with interests in the region. For example, one of the aircraft under management is on long-term lease by a Fortune 100 company. In this case, Elit'Avia provides a full turn-key solution, including aircraft maintenance and crew placement. Thus, clients may rest assured that their aircraft are being maintained and operated according to the highest international standards.
"Elit'Avia has been active in West Africa for about 18 months," says Michel Coulomb, President, Elit'Avia. "Personally, I had the opportunity to live in Lagos from 1992 to 1997 and believe that this unique experience has been invaluable to our regional growth. West Africa has not traditionally been well served by business aviation management companies, which is remarkable considering that Nigeria had more new aircraft orders than South Africa last year."
"Our West African clients value safety, security, comfort and direct access to destinations within the continent - which may otherwise be difficult to access efficiently using commercial aviation service. Internationally, we are seeing growth traffic between the region and destinations including Moscow and Paris. As the economies of West African nations continue to grow, we are contributing to an overall elevation of business aviation service standards. Based on our regional experience and industry knowledge, we are uniquely positioned to serve this region and look forward to sharing in its growth," concludes Mr. Coulomb.
