JETS, the expanding business aviation MRO, owned by the 328 Group, has announced the appointment of Adam West to Sales and Commercial Manager for its Bournemouth and London Biggin Hill facilities, effective 9th September. In his new role, he will be responsible for MRO sales and all aspects of JETS commercial operations including building strong relationships with customers and developing future growth strategies. He will report directly to JETS Managing Director Alan Barnes.
Adam brings over 15 years' professional, international aviation experience to the role with particular expertise in sales and business development. Most recently, he held the position of Commercial Manager and Consultant/Partner at SGI Aviation where he was responsible for consulting with clients on aircraft acquisition, disposal and management of business jets and commercial aircraft.
Prior to this, Adam gained highly relevant experience with management posts in sales and business development at international aviation companies including JetAir Leasing Limited and Air Castle Corporation. Commenting on his new position, Adam said: "I am very pleased to be joining JETS, a progressive and dynamic company within the aviation sector that clearly demonstrates commitment to its customers. I welcome the opportunity to join a great team of aviation professionals and look forward to being part of the company's ongoing growth and success."
Alan Barnes, JETS Group Managing Director added: "We are very pleased to announce Adam's appointment. He brings an ideal skillset to the role with practical experience in sales as well as developing robust customer relationships gained across the globe. He has a good business head that will serve us well as we grow our MRO facilities."
Earlier this year, 328 Group split its two primary areas of expertise '328' and 'JETS' in a move to accommodate its increasing portfolio of interior manufacture and design work and its expansion of maintenance expertise under the JETS brand, following the acquisition of the new maintenance facility at London Biggin Hill Airport.
JETS Engineering Technical Support was established in October 2004, initially to provide MRO services to Hawker 125s. Today JETS boasts a broad range of engineering capabilities in aircraft maintenance, avionics installation, refurbishment, exterior painting, Part M services and hangarage. Under its EASA Part-145 approvals, JETS carries out scheduled base maintenance and defect rectification, through minor and major modification embodiment to full cabin interior refurbishment in conjunction with its sister company 328 based in Germany, a full EASA Part 21G level 1A (Design) and Part 21J (Manufacture) approved company.
