ARINC EMEA scooped a
Highly Commended accolade in the Technology Implementation of the Year
category in the prestigious Aviation Business Awards 2013 held during
the Dubai Air Show at the city's Westin Hotel. ARINC
EMEA Regional Director Tony Lynch and his regional team based in Dubai
and Cairo were endorsed for their work in the implementation of brand
new airport processing systems at RAS Al Khaimah Airport (RAK
International).
Work was carried out over a six-month period, culminating in a 'go live'
date of 1st October, under the auspices of His Excellency Sheikh Salem
Bin Al Qasimi, RAK's Chairman. Work involved the design and
implementation of ARINC's core suite of airport processing
systems, including a state of the art vMUSE Common Use Passenger
Processing Solution (CUPPS), AirVue Flight Information Display System
(FIDS) and ARINC's latest generation Airport Operational Database (AODB)
Air DB 7 system.
The Aviation Business Awards, now in their seventh year, acknowledge the
efforts of companies, organisations and individuals that have
contributed to the growth of the Middle East aviation industry. This
year's independent panel of judges included Andrew
Cowen, Managing Director of Global Aviation Advisors Alliance; Carol
Ronan-Heath, founder of the Middle East Women's Aviation Network; Issa
Baluch, Board Director, International Air Cargo Association; John
Strickland, Director, JLS Consulting and Addison Schonland,
Consultant, AvIntel Consulting.
