.

Rockwell Collins announced that Edinburgh Airport, through its Common Use Terminal Equipment (CUTE) club, has signed a five-year renewal contract for Rockwell Collins' ARINC vMUSEâ„¢ Common Use Passenger Processing Systems (CUPPS).

ARINC vMUSE enables airports to support multiple airline check-in applications running concurrently on the same workstation, allowing airlines to process passengers faster and more efficiently while reducing costs. Scalable for any size airline or airport, ARINC vMUSE is engineered to support emerging technologies including baggage drop and bag management systems.

The new contract extends the strong relationship between the Edinburgh Airport CUTE Club and Rockwell Collins, which have been working together since May 2005. With this award, Rockwell Collins' ARINC solutions are now being used at three of Scotland's major airports.

Edinburgh Airport is Scotland's capital airport. The airport, which is undergoing rapid expansion, recently became the first in the country to exceed the 10 million yearly passenger mark, and has enjoyed its most successful year on record with the launch of a number of new long- and short-haul routes in 2014.
