Cardiff Airport selects Rockwell Collins' ARINC hosted Common Use Self Service kiosks

Thursday 9th October 2014

Rockwell Collins announced that Cardiff Airport (CIAL) has signed an agreement to install the company's common use hosted kiosk solution.

Rockwell Collins will provide a fully managed solution to CIAL by hosting the connectivity for the airlines from its Slough data centre, allowing the airport to meet growing passenger demand for self-service convenience while delivering a scalable check-in solution. CUSS kiosks help speed up the passenger check-in process, significantly reduce lines, enable airline cost-sharing and improve the entire customer experience.

CIAL has a long history of working with Rockwell Collins. The airport was the company's first United Kingdom site to deploy ARINC iMUSE in 2003. Subsequently, CIAL upgraded to the ARINC vMUSE Enterprise cloud based solution in 2011.

Cardiff Airport, located in Wales, U.K., welcomes over a million passengers a year, serving scheduled airlines and charter tour operators. The airport has around 50 direct destinations and more than 900 through connections around the world. Since 2003, Cardiff has twice been voted one of the Top 10 Best U.K. Airports in the Telegraph Travel Awards.
