Invitation to Air Astana press briefing in Dubai

Peter Foster, President and CEO of Air Astana, Central Asia's leading airline and the national carrier of Kazakhstan, invites you to a press briefing at 10:00 hours on Sunday, 16th November. This invitation formally celebrates the launch of direct daily flights from Almaty to Dubai.   Its existing four days a week service from Astana to Abu Dhabi continues, with both services to the UAE flown by Airbus A320 series aircraft.

Kazakhstan, a popular and increasingly economically important destination, recently announced a Visa waiver programme for visitors from 10 countries, including nationals of the UAE, who can now easily enter Kazakhstan via an online application facility, without any prior notification.

Founded in 2002, Air Astana is a joint venture between Kazakhstan's national wealth fund Samruk Kazyna and BAE Systems, with respective shares of 51% and 49%.  Air Astana is  endorsed with a prestigious 4 Star rating by Skytrax in its world airline awards and it is proud to have been named best airline in Central Asia and India in 2012, 2013 and 2014.
