FAI Technik GmbH welcomes Alexander Mair as Commercial Director

German General Aviation MRO FAI Technik GmbH, a subsidiary of the Air Ambulance and VIP-Charter Operator FAI rent-a-jet AG, is proud to announce that Alexander Mair, former Managing Director of RUAG Aerospace Services GmbH, responsible for RUAG´s General Aviation Business Unit in Germany, has joined FAI´s competence team as Commercial Director and will work alongside FAI´s Technical Director, Hanno Zagumin.

In his new role Mair will be responsible for the financial and organizational business of this division, with a specific focus on strengthening and expanding FAI Technik's MRO position in the market.

They have a wealth of experience, often having to operate on aircraft at short notice owing to the nature of the challenges presented by working in the Air Ambulance and public service sectors. It´s an honor to be part of this team and I'm looking forward to expanding our capabilities as an MRO organisation," commented Mair about his new position at FAI Technik.

Mair will manage the existing FAI Technik GmbH team, which currently employs a staff of 60 people at its maintenance facilities located at Nuremberg International Airport. Operating out of the state-of-the-art hangar, which was completed in 2014 and comprises a 6,000-sqm hangar, in addition to 3000 sqm of workshops, engineering and administration offices, Mair will also look to expand and develop the capabilities of the MRO offering.

FAI Technik GmbH specializes in line and base maintenance of the complete range of Bombardier´s aircraft types. This includes Learjet 31/35/36/45/60, Challenger 604/605, CRJ 100/200 and Global Express BD 700 models. It also provides line maintenance for the Dassault Falcon 7X. In addition FAI´s EASA Part 145 certificate it also has approval from the Civil Aviation Authority of the Cayman Islands as well as from Bermuda's Department of Civil Aviation.
