Air Astana, Kazakhstan's Skytrax award winning carrier, was proud to fly six members of Great Britain's Cadet and Junior Fencing Team to the World Fencing Championships in Tashkent, the capital of Uzbekistan recently.
The team flew from Almaty, Kazakhstan to Tashkent aboard Air Astana's Embraer E190 aircraft in order to participate in the competition during April 1st - 9th.
They were able to enjoy Air Astana's excellent on board hospitality and in-flight comfort which enabled GB competitors to arrive refreshed and ready to take part in the nine day competition.
The World Championships which are held annually are the most prestigious international fencing competition after the Olympic Games enabling young fencers to demonstrate their skill at an international level.
Peter Foster, President and CEO of Air Astana said: "Air Astana was delighted to fly Great Britain's Cadet and Junior Fencing Team to the World Championships and we wish them every success during the competition."
Team GB has so far enjoyed considerable success with Caitlin Maxwell achieving 14th place in the Women's Sabre competition.
