Supporting its expanding brokerage business 28 East has announced the delivery of its first aircraft completion project, an Airbus Corporate Jet ACJ319. The green aircraft was completed at the Woensdrecht Fokker Facility in Holland and took just over a year to finish. It was delivered to its home base Munich, in April, where the operator K5-Aviation, which has extensive experience in operating long range and VVIP large jets, will manage it.
Working closely with K5-Aviation, which has previously handled large jet completions, 28 East maximised their joint knowledge to manage the project from inception, and were involved with the pre-purchase selection through to aircraft interior specification and completion. The resulting aircraft is of the highest quality featuring a spacious VVIP cabin with 19 seats, and two bedrooms, one of which leads to an ensuite shower. The bedrooms can also be converted into relaxation areas, when not in use for sleeping,
The contemporary interior features hand-tufted carpet from Tisca Tiara, all leather from Italian producer Foglizzo and wood veneer which uses the finest African ebony. The result is a contemporary yet comfortable interior that can be used equally for leisure and work purposes. Special features include an integrated cabin humidifier to reduce tiredness on long-haul flights; a cinema room that includes a 55 inch LED screen, the largest certified in aviation; and a state-of-the-art connectivity system, provided by Alster Aero enabling complete cabin control from tablets and smart phones, in addition to multi - media entertainment, WiFi and telephony. Special attention has also been paid to the cockpit where crew can utilise the latest in software technology including on-airport navigation and a customized Electronic Flight Bag installation.
Whilst the cabin interior reflects a focus on style, comfort and utility, the airframe structure has been specified to ensure efficiency and reduced operational costs. The build incorporates ultra-light honeycomb cabin engineering and five Additional Centre Tanks (ACTs), in addition to sharklets, giving the jet one of the longest ranges in the world for a VIP completed Airbus. It has already performed flights of thirteen hours demonstrating the aircraft's capability to perform ultra-long range missions.
"The final interior is breathtakingly beautiful and perfectly complements the technical advantages. With its VVIP comfort and operational efficiency it is the perfect aircraft for long range missions," says Luca Madone, Partner at 28 East. Erik Scheidt Director of K5-Aviation added, "We are very happy with the aircraft and have already operated the first 120 hours without any problems. This is a fantastic addition to our existing fleet of long range aircraft"
28 East, commonly owned by Vertis Aviation and K5, is selling both new and pre-owned aircraft and believes that by widening its skill set beyond just brokering it will bring value to its high net worth client base. To ensure best value transactions it offers a full range of services including, pre-buy inspections, aircraft selection, managing the sale, aircraft completion, management company choice, crew resourcing, through to full operations and recommendation for charter operators.
ACJ319 Available for Charter through Vertis Aviation.
This VVIP airliner ACJ319 - is now available for charter exclusively through 28 East sister company Vertis Aviation. This is the fifth aircraft Vertis will market on behalf of the Germany-based operator K5-Aviation. The new aircraft was added to the AOC in April 2015.
Based in Munich the aircraft will serve the growing need for international flights on board VVIP airliners. It is anticipated clients will include high net worth individuals, government entourages, and those looking for a comfortable way of travelling on leisure trips with their families, or seeking the space and comfort of a luxury-working environment. The jet managed and operated by K5-Aviation with a European crew is familiar with the demands of the elite clientele.
"We are seeing an increase in demand for the ultra-long-range, larger aircraft cabins. This aircraft really has it all with the beautiful interior, and the capacity to fly to a range of thirteen hours," added Madone, also partner of Vertis Aviation. Vertis anticipates the extended range aircraft will be extremely popular across its client base as there are very few VVIP charter aircraft capable of such distance.
The latest addition brings the Vertis portfolio of marketed aircraft to thirteen: Gulfstream G450, Gulfstream G550, Gulfstream G650, Boeing Business Jet, Bombardier Global 6000, three Airbus ACJ319, Bombardier Global XRS aircraft, Bombardier Global Express, a Dassault Falcon 7X, a Boeing 727 VIP aircraft and a Learjet 45.
