Following the success of the 2014 European Corporate Flight Attendants Conference (ECFAC), momentum is building for the third event which will be held in Brussels, Belgium on the 11 September 2015. The conference, which is this year called the European Cabin Service Conference, is organised by the European Business Aviation Association (EBAA), and is being led by a European steering committee of which Daniel Hulme, CEO of inflight dining experience provider, On Air Dining, is Vice Chair.
Hulme, who was a co-founder of the first event in 2012 will be supporting this year's event by sponsoring the meeting and supporting the presentation by Richard Hardwick of UK-based Bespoke Beverages, purveyors of Kopi Luwak, a rare Indonesian coffee, and a key supplier to On Air Dining.
"Cabin Crew often work in isolation and are heavily relied on during flight to ensure all elements of the trip run smoothly. This conference is designed to allow them to share their knowledge, provide them with useful, new skills and aims to encourage them to discuss day to day topics with fellow professionals," says Hulme about why On Air Dining continues to be involved. "Our business is very much built around the Flight Attendant and what they need to provide safe, high quality dining which is why we are sponsoring this particular session. We think it is essential to support their professional development by providing them with the latest trends in fine dining," he adds.
Hulme will also take the opportunity to showcase the On Air Group's new line of products, On Air Interiors, which provides cabin crew with a single source for cabin amenities ranging from crystal, china, flatware through to blankets, and dining table accessories. "A dining experience is enhanced by the environment and food presentation so we have added this service to enable cabin crew to not only prepare fine dining through On Air Dining, but to present it well through the products from On Air Interiors."
The event will aim to educate and motivate cabin technicians whilst providing a networking platform for those attending to share, discuss and initiate new ideas. There has already been strong industry interest in the event as the range of topics cover pertinent industry themes. A panel discussion about safety will feature Flight Safety International, Aircare FACTS Training and Co-Guard, on board professionalism will be presented by training company sajet, and team work will be presented by Roy Mumm who commanded the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds demonstration team.
Applauding the initiative, EBAA CEO Fabio Gamba commented: "The business aviation industry could not function without the dedication of the cabin technicians so we are glad to be hosting this year's conference to develop the profession internationally."
Joining On Air Dining as sponsors are Aircare FACTS Training, Air Culinaire Worldwide, FlightSafety International, Jet Professionals, and NBAA. Whilst BRETON Leather Spain, The Chauffeur Company, Temple Spa, L'Occitane, On Air Dining, D R Harris, Eyelevel, Heirlooms, have all donated products for prize draws which will take place at the end of each presentation.
