The African Business Aviation Association is delighted to announce it has signed up its one hundredth member at this year's NBAA. Canadian-headquartered ACASS, a worldwide supplier of highly customised support services for business aviation, became a Corporate Member at this year's National Business Aviation Association meeting. Andre Khury, ACASS President and CEO, signed the paperwork with Rady Fahmy, CEO of AfBAA, at the ACASS booth N1532 on day one of the event.
With 21 years of experience in the aviation sector, ACASS specialises in providing a comprehensive range of support services for aircraft owners and operators. It offers crew support, sales & acquisition, aircraft management, entry into service, and charter services. It has been increasingly recognised for its work in emerging markets, developing strong relationships with CAAs, government authorities and regulatory bodies in Africa, Asia, South America and India.
"It is with great delight that we welcome ACASS to the Association as the company supports many of the areas that we are aiming to improve and enhance in Africa," said Tarek Ragheb, Founding Chairman of AfBAA. "As an increasing number of aircraft join the continent's fleet we have identified a need for more professionally trained crew, a greater understanding of regulatory, operational and safety procedures, as well as a need to provide expert knowledge to members wishing to take the next steps in growing their business. Members with the experience of ACASS really can make a difference to how African business aviation grows, and we look forward to working closely with them in the future."
As a Corporate Member ACASS will have access to AfBAA's research, data and publications as well as holding full voting rights. It will also benefit from opportunities to participate in all AfBAA events, meetings and networking opportunities. "ACASS is very pleased to have joined the association at such an exciting time for Africa. We are eager to share our international expertise, leveraging our extensive experience in Africa, with other members as we continue to expand our presence on the continent.
We pride ourselves on our cultural awareness and ability to network across the globe, and know we will bring valuable knowledge to AfBAA. We're also looking forward to working with other members to further develop our presence and add strategic value to our business," said Robert Habjanic, ACASS Vice President of Sales-Africa & Middle East.
AfBAA recently restructured its membership profile making enrolment available to the complete spectrum of the African Business Aviation community. The Association now offers Premium, Corporate and Affiliate Membership categories in addition to a Professional Membership, a category designed to encourage individuals with an interest in African business and general aviation to join.
