EBACE 2016, Geneva. Acropolis Aviation, one of Europe's leading luxury air charter companies, announced today that it has contracted Marshall Civil Aerospace, part of the Marshall Aerospace and Defence Group, as its prime maintenance contractor. It is Marshall Civil Aerospace's first ACJ contract, and it will follow through to Acropolis' new ACJ320neo which enters service in late 2019, Acropolis Technical Director Aidan Leitner-Murphy confirmed.
The move follows Marshall's "superb team approach and excellent work," performed on a major six-year check on G-NOAH, Acropolis' flagship Airbus ACJ319 at Marshall Cambridge HQ.
Marshall engineers conducted significant airframe inspections and removed the entire interior for inspection and overhaul, refitting it in a period of just five weeks. Patrick Meyer, Project Manager from Aeropeople, led a specialist engineering team who inspected the aircraft's extended range fuel tanks in the rear cargo hold. Activity extended to an upgrade of cabin furnishings, with Marshall stitching a new divan cover over a weekend. "The quality of the divan cover sewn by Marshall was as good as the original supplied by the OEM," Aidan Leitner-Murphy stated.
Aeropeople has supported Acropolis' ACJ with line maintenance since 2010.
