Rockwell Collins has unveiled three Pro Line 21™ upgrade packages for King Air turboprops that give operators more flexibility in equipping their aircraft for next-generation airspace and procedures. The upgrades are Federal Aviation Administration (FAA)-certified and European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA)-validated and available now through all Rockwell Collins-authorized dealers.
• Combines ADS-B, synthetic vision and updated FMS with LPV/APV and RF legs
• Available now through all Rockwell Collins-authorized dealers
• First in a series--coming soon to numerous additional aircraft types
The three packages have been tailored to meet the needs of all Pro Line 21-equipped King Air and include automatic dependent surveillance-broadcast (ADS-B), synthetic vision, updated flight management system (FMS) with localizer performance and approach procedures with vertical guidance (LPV/APV), radius-to-fix (RF) legs and the latest version of integrated flight information system (IFIS).
The full breakdown of what is included with each Pro Line 21 upgrade package for the King Air can be found here. Similar Pro Line 21 upgrade packages are in development for numerous other aircraft types.
"If you have Rockwell Collins avionics in your aircraft, when it comes to ADS-B, we have you covered," said Craig Olson, vice president and general manager, Business and Regional Systems for Rockwell Collins. "With these convenient new packages, in addition to ADS-B you also gain great FMS features and synthetic vision as part of the same upgrade--and it's available right now."
For King Air operators wishing to go even further--and increase their aircraft value by updating their flight deck to closely match what is being delivered from the factory--Rockwell Collins also offers its Pro Line Fusion® 14-inch touchscreen LCD avionics upgrade.
