Pattonair, the leading UK global aerospace and defence supply chain provider, has been awarded a renewed and expanded contract for global supply chain services by Rolls-Royce through to 2022.
The contract confirms the strength of Pattonair's position as a strategic partner to Rolls-Royce in the provision of supply chain services and C class parts and represents a significant development in what has been a 20-year relationship between the two companies. Earlier this year Rolls-Royce presented Pattonair with its `Supplier of the Year` award in recognition of outstanding customer service.
Under the significantly expanded contract Pattonair, which is exhibiting at Farnborough Airshow (Hall 1, Stand C31) will support Rolls-Royce in ramping up production of new engine programmes including the Trent XWB, Trent 1000 and Trent 7000. The contract is a global award for Pattonair, whose headquartered site is close to Rolls-Royce in Derby, UK, and will include Pattonair's dedicated facilities in Germany, North America and Asia.
Pattonair supports Rolls-Royce with a full spectrum of supply chain services from planning and inventory management to just-in-time delivery to production lines and kitting solutions to total quality management and testing. It also supports Rolls-Royce's global aftermarket.
"This major contract renewal and being awarded Supplier of the Year from Rolls-Royce, our largest customer, demonstrates the value customers place in the quality and global reach of our customer service offering and reinforces our position as the global leader in aerospace supply chain management," said Pattonair Chief Executive Officer, Wayne Hollinshead.
"We enjoy an important strategic relationship with Pattonair and greatly value the role they play as a key partner in our supply chain. This contract extension is testament to that," added Craig Smith, Executive Vice President at Rolls-Royce.
Pattonair supports blue chip engine and airframe manufacturers including Airbus, UTAS, GE, Pratt & Whitney, Eaton, Parker, Safran and BAE Systems among the over 2,000 customers it supports, which also include MRO providers and systems suppliers.
Pattonair takes responsibility for managing the supply chain complexity and costs on behalf of its customers and tailors each solution to meet its customer's requirements. It has extensive relationships with several manufacturers globally, which gives Pattonair access to a wide range of products while its high quality standards and approval system allows for faster, more efficient and cost effective aerospace product distribution.
