Switzerland-based Vertis Aviation has added a Bombardier Challenger 350 to its South African portfolio. The brand new aircraft, which is only the second of its type to be delivered to the continent, is based in Johannesburg, South Africa at OR Tambo International Airport.
It joined the portfolio in June 2016 when it was delivered to Fireblade Aviation, a South African-based charter operator and FBO provider.
With a potential range of 3200nm the super-midsized aircraft is ideally placed to meet the growing demand for transcontinental African travel. It is anticipated that the Challenger 350 will prove popular not only with leisure customers, but with international business travellers needing to benefit from convenient and easy access to meetings and roadshows across the continent.
The Challenger's stylish, well-appointed, pale cream leather interior offers universal appeal and complete comfort with two double club-seating areas ideally configured for corporate clients. The extraordinarily quiet cabin also enables passengers to conduct business, or relax in peace. The rear of the cabin features an enclosed lavatory, while the front cabin includes a full galley. The IFE offers onboard Wi-Fi to keep passengers connected, a USB/Hard drive, and two large LCD screens.
Commenting on the new addition, Vertis Aviation COO Neil Turnbull said: "We are extremely pleased to be adding the Challenger 350 to our portfolio which we know will appeal to our international business clientele. It offers the perfect combination of comfort, technology and range and will enable us to select the best aircraft option for our clients travel needs in Africa.
It can provide excellent point-to-point access between the major African cities and will serve as the ideal link between international and transcontinental flying. It will also help support economic growth in Africa and further underlines the company's commitment to this dynamic continent."
Vertis Aviation specialises in long range business aircraft operating out of Europe, the Middle East, and South Africa. It currently markets three Airbus A319 ACJ's, a Boeing Business Jet BBJ1, Gulfstream G450, G550 and G650, a Bombardier Global 6000, Bombardier Global XRS, one Global Express, and a Dassault Falcon 7X.
