Pattonair, the leading aerospace and defence supply chain provider, has achieved the internationally recognised ISO 14001:2015, the latest standard awarded for an organisation's environmental performance, which takes into account both internal and external elements influencing its environmental impact.
In December 2016 Pattonair received the certification for its Environmental Management System (EMS) for using resources more efficiently and reducing waste in its UK operations.
The EMS developed by Pattonair enables it to manage and monitor environmental standards `holistically` as they are applied across its operations, workforce and throughout its supply chain. Pattonair's EMS is applied globally and during 2017 its operations in the Americas, mainland Europe and Asia will work towards obtaining ISO 14001:2015.
"We want to ensure we comply with the highest statutory and regulatory requirements to ensure Pattonair fulfils its commitment to reducing its environmental impact", said Wayne Hollinshead, CEO of Pattonair. "Certification also brings the competitive advantages of improved efficiency and the associated reductions in operating costs as well as increased trust with our customers and stakeholders. I would like congratulate all the teams who worked so hard throughout 2016 to achieve the certification".
