Stansted flights to Chambery and Sion increased to three times weekly at peak times.
Snowjet has announced its timetable for the winter 2011/2012 season, highlighting increased frequency on Stansted routes to Chambery and Sion. Flights for next season are on sale two months earlier than in previous years, in response to customer demand. Reservations for ski flights to both destinations for next winter can now be made online at www.snowjet.co.uk with lead in fares starting from £49 and £79 respectively, one way, including taxes.
"We are delighted to offer more lead-in fares than ever before and advise customers to book early to take advantage of the best offers," said David Lacy, Snowjet's Managing Director. "We are also guaranteeing no fuel surcharges next season and as all our flights are ATOL protected clients can book with complete confidence."
Snowjet introduced exclusive flights to Sion for the 09/10 winter ski season, providing the only scheduled services from the UK to this exclusive and efficient Alpine airport. Flying direct to Sion, in the popular Swiss Valais Region, is the fastest route to some of Switzerland's top ski resorts, including Zermatt, Verbier, Saas Fee, Crans Montana, Nendaz and Veysonnaz. In addition, Sion airport handles a low volume of passengers, so skiers don't have a long wait at baggage reclaim or at check-in, enabling them to spend longer on the slopes.
"Our passengers love the time-saving benefits afforded by flying direct to Sion," said David Lacy. "The increased capacity on the route, introduced for 2010/11, has proved so popular we're doing the same again for next season. Over Christmas and New Year and from February 10th onwards, flights to Sion will be three times weekly with conveniently timed departures on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.
"We have also increased the number of flights to Chambery for 2012 - during February half term and over the Easter break we'll be offering three flights each week to meet demand for this popular destination."
In addition to Snowjet's Stansted routes, the airline also operates direct flights to Chambery from London Gatwick. Flying to Chambery, in the French Alps, makes for significant time savings on transfers to some of France's top ski resorts, including Meribel, Val d'Isere and Courchevel.
Snowjet was established in 2007 to cater for the independent skier and today offers flights to Chambery airport in the French Alps and to Sion airport in the Swiss Alps.
In 2009 Snowjet was purchased and is now wholly owned, by Titan Airways, one of the UK's most successful and prestigious charter airlines. The backing of one of the most financially secure airlines in the UK has already enabled Snowjet to expand its ski flight operation. Last winter the airline successfully launched the only scheduled service from the UK to Sion Airport. And for winter 10/11, due to popular demand, the airline has increased the frequency of its Sion flights to three times a week during peak season.
