Airline Services debuts new generation Plug & Play IFE at Aircraft Interiors Expo.

Airline Services Limited, the leading provider of support services to the aviation industry, will be showcasing its new single channel, solid state digital video player - AeroStream XP1 - at the Aircraft Interiors Expo in Hamburg 5-7 April. Airline Services is attending the expo for the 12th consecutive year, with an exhibition stand located in the IFE Zone Hall 6 Stand 6D15. The Company will be represented by senior management including CEO Bryan Bodek, Group Sales & Marketing Director Dan Hepworth and Director of Interior Engineering Simon Sixsmith, together with members of the regional sales teams.

The AeroStream XP1 has been specifically developed with space, weight, cost and energy saving in mind. The AeroStream XP1 offers the speed, clarity and flexibility of a digital delivery system with improved reliability and support at a highly competitive price, whilst delivering a superior performance.

AeroStream XP1 is a new generation plug-and-play device aimed at replacing heavy and outdated legacy systems such as tape and DVD players. It has an 80GB memory, and will play in MPEG 1 to 4 format. The unit will convert digital data into a composite signal for older generation IFE monitors. The AeroStream XP1 has the capability to serve as a stand-alone unit or slave unit for multi-channel systems, whilst being small enough to fit into an overhead bin and weighing just 1.5kg.

In addition to the AeroStream XP1, Airline Services will also be demonstrating its ASL 175 AeroScreen - a 17.5" HD-ready Monitor, also designed and developed in-house by Airline Service's own engineering team. The AeroScreen is fully interchangeable between its bulkhead mounting and centre-aisle retract mechanism. The lightweight AeroScreen offers improved reliability, reduced weight and lower energy consumption, whilst delivering a screen image of excellent clarity and brightness.
