Airline Services Components expands Sales and Commercial team to support continued growth.
To support continued growth of its portfolio of services and customer base, Airline Services Components Ltd (ASC) has announced the appointments of Richard Jowett as General Manager and Mark Kelsey as Head of Sales.
In a newly created role and effective immediately, Richard will be responsible for the day to day management of the London Gatwick headquarters and will report to the company Directors. Prior to joining ASC Richard Jowett has held roles in major airlines including AVP Supply and Contracts at Arik Air and Direct Maintenance Cost and Rotable Component Controller at bmi.
He brings more than 20 years' experience in the supply and management of rotable components with particular expertise in managing and negotiating contracts and warranty terms.
Commenting on his new appointment, Jowett said: "I am delighted to be taking up the role of General Manager at ASC's impressive new warehouse, logistics and HQ facility at London Gatwick. This is a terrific opportunity and particularly attractive as the company is experiencing an exciting period of growth. ASC has a knowledgeable and experienced team and I am looking forward to utilising my skills and experience in rotable components management to continue to drive that forward."
Mark Kelsey, in the role of Head of Sales will oversee ASC's growing sales team. He will be responsible for developing the company's sales efforts by encouraging new business and building on long established client relationships. He will take up his position in May and report directly to Chris Hooley, Managing Director.
Mark brings over 25 years of aviation sales experience to the role with particular expertise in sales management, account management and customer relations. He joins the company from Dunlop Aircraft Tyres Ltd. where he held the position of Sales and Marketing Manager with responsibility for managing a sales team as well as handling a portfolio of high profile clients including Embraer and Bombardier. Prior to that, he was Sales and Marketing Manager at Airfoil Technologies (a GE-owned company) with responsibility for client accounts including Air France, Lufthansa Technik and Honeywell.
