Alison Price On Air, the London-based in-flight division of elite catering firm Alison Price and Company, has responded to a growing demand for its unique business aviation fine dining system by extending its opening hours. From September 2011 the company, which aims to revolutionise in-flight catering, will be offering its services seven days a week, all year round including Bank holidays.
To support the expansion a further four team members have been recruited to the existing kitchen crew to ensure continuity of standards. Daniel Hulme, Inflight Director of the business said: "We are continually adding new clients to our roster and in order to provide the sustained and continued quality that is at the heart of our service. We have added essential roles to support the continued growth."
Joining Daniel, Sous Chef Karl Thomas, a Michel Roux Jr Prodigy, Karl served time under the 3 Michelin star world famous chef at the Parliament Square restaurant. Also joining the kitchen team is Kasia Merchel, who serves as Senior Chef de Partie having completed Leith's School of Food and Wine with a first class Professional Diploma. All work under the guidance of Executive Chef Director at Alison Price, Richard Cubbin. Supporting Daniel on the business development side of the business is Joseph Stevens who joined as office manager in August 2011 and will focus on administering and managing the business growth.
Chris Conrad also joined in July 2011 as Alison Price on Air's first full time logistics team member. He is responsible for the safe and careful loading of the food and sundry items including flowers, crockery and glassware. "This is a crucial part of the Alison Price on Air service as it is essential we deliver the orders in a timely and organised manner. Working directly with security, flight crew and cabin attendants, requires an exceptionally diplomatic character and we have that in Chris," says Hulme about the importance of the role.
Alison Price gains DFT clearance for London's leading business aviation airports
Essential to the success of Alison Price on Air is ease of accessibility to the airside areas at the leading London Airports. Alison Price On Air has worked tirelessly over the last six months to gain ease of access to London airports and has now been given security clearance by the Department For Transport at the leading business aviation airports including Farnborough, Stansted, Luton and Biggin Hill. "The key to continually offering excellent service is to be able to deliver to our clients efficiently and provide the service with minimal interruption from security inspections. This means we can be more efficient and ensures the products are delivered at their best," said Hulme on the significance of achieving security clearance status.
Alison Price on Air will be attending this year's BGAD www.bgad.aero at Cambridge Airport on 20 September 2011 where it will be presenting a demonstration of its unique fine dining system to delegates from 13:00 to 13:30hrs in the exhibition area on the Cambridge Airport Stand #41-43.
