Flying Colours confirms first modification under new Blackhawk agreement.
Following hard on the heels of the ratification at this year's NBAA conference of Flying Colours Corp. authorised service centre for Waco-based Blackhawk Modifications Inc., the Peterborough-Canada based global aviation service company has just announced its first turboprop Blackhawk modification project.
January 2012 will see the arrival of a privately owned King Air C90 at the Peterborough facilities where in state-of-the-art facilities it will undergo a full XP 135 Engine conversion. The scope of the work will also feature additional routine maintenance inspections along with interior modifications.
"Hawker Beechcraft King Airs are particularly suitable for and popular aircraft within the Canadian market. Having a local service centre will make it easier and more cost effective for turbo-prop owners to implement specific upgrades and mods. We are extremely pleased to have been appointed as Blackhawk's distributor and look forward to enhancing their profile even further throughout the country," says Sean Gillespie Director, Sales & Marketing, Flying Colours Corp.
Under the terms of the recently signed agreement Flying Colours Corp will provide turboprop aircraft owners and operators in Canada with Blackhawk engine upgrade programme sales, installations and services.
Flying Colours Corp. already operates two fully certified facilities in Peterborough and Chesterfield, Mo., which provide comprehensive aircraft maintenance, overhaul and refurbishment services for a range of jet aircraft. With the new agreement in place Flying Colours Corp. will be returning to its roots which originated in Hawker Beechcraft King Air sales and maintenance.
"Blackhawk is delighted to welcome Flying Colours to our outstanding team of dealers and service provider, "said Jim Allmon Blackhawk President & CEO. "The agreement will provide exceptional capabilities to our customer. Our agreement expands their expertise and facilitates Blackhawk performance upgrades for turboprop aircraft in Canada."
