Oriens Advisors, the consultancy providing support for the full range of companies associated with the business aviation value chain, has added Horst Brockmueller to the team as an investment and business aviation expert. Horst, who joined forces with Oriens in November, brings a wealth of international strategic and financial business development experience to the team.
In this new role Horst will further bolster the services Oriens provides by actively engaging with and supporting clients who are seeking funds, looking to restructure existing businesses or need advice on how to move their existing business to the next level.Oriens invited Horst, who has a wealth of aviation expertise, to join as client requirements and demands continued to increase in variety, speciality and strategic business development needs.
Horst was instrumental in creating and establishing a state certified aircraft operating company in Germany and was latterly responsible for its business development including co-ordinating marketing and acquiring long-term customers for the operation.
In his roles with various private equity and funding companies he has also had extensive experience raising finance for, and advising on the operations of a number of European aircraft operators and aviation service providers, all of which has led to Horst having an extensive network of business aviation contacts. Horst holds a commercial pilot's license with over 3,500 hours flying time to his name. owns and operates his own aircraft which he considers a valuable business tool, and follows his passion for high performance aircraft flying whenever he can.
Building on his significant involvement leading international business transactions and implementing integrated management and financial systems for a number of international companies Horst joined London-based private equity firm Catalyst Equity Partners LLP just over ten years ago. As Chairman and Managing Partner, a role he will continue to hold, he has supported the company's specialisation in start-up, mid and late venture, and buyout transactions.

Horst will be based in London and Hamburg and is already working on setting up an aircraft ownership foundation in southwest Germany which will provide a group of business owners more travel flexibility at low cost.
