Nominations invited for The Corporate Jet Investor Awards 2012: The Oscars of the aviation industry

Corporate Jet Investor is launching its own excellence awards to recognise outstanding ability and achievement in the field of business jet and helicopter financing/lending during 2011.

To be announced during the second annual International Corporate Jet & Helicopter Finance Conference in London on 7 February, these awards will recognise individuals and organisations that have demonstrated outstanding skill during 2011. "We recognise that more than 70% of all business jets and helicopters are reliant on finance and capital," said Corporate Jet Investor Editor Alasdair Whyte, "so we are inviting aviation professionals to nominate those banks and financiers who have been exceptional to work with in 2011."

Nominations are now being accepted in the following ten categories and should be emailed to awhyte@corpjetinvestor.com before December 31, 2011.

• Asian Business Jet Financier of the Year
• European Business Jet Financier of the Year
• Latin American Financier of the Year
• Middle East & African Financier of the Year
• North American Financier of the Year
• International Jet Financier of the Year (awarded to a financier active in all major markets)
• Helicopter Financier of the Year
• Innovative Financier of the Year
• New Financier of the Year
• Deal of the Year Awards (awarded to particularly significant transactions)

"One of our goals at Corporate Jet Investor is to make it easier for aircraft buyers to find finance. The aim of these awards is to reward and encourage new financiers, as well as to applaud lenders that have been committed to the industry for many years. The Oscars are revered in the film industry. We hope our own aviation Oscars will help the business jet and helicopter finance markets become even stronger," said Alasdair Whyte.

From a shortlist of nominations in each category, the overall winners will be determined by a judging panel of 25 leading finance specialists at manufacturers, brokers and other impartial organisations including OEM's Bombardier, Hawker Beechcraft, Gulfstream and Dassault.

The prestigious awards will be announced on February 7th, 2012 and winners will be invited to attend a cocktail reception that night at The Hilton, London Tower Bridge, venue of the two-day conference.
