With the London Olympics rapidly approaching this summer, 27 July to 12 August, TAG owned Aviator Hotel, which sits directly adjacent to TAG Farnborough Airport, is preparing to welcome sponsors, crew, and businesses throughout the period of the Games.
The hotel reports it has already received bookings from crew planning to fly into the airport, along with local companies who want to ensure room availability for executives during the event. Whilst the opening and closing dates of the game are currently the most popular requests the hotel notes that business aviation handlers are requesting block bookings throughout the duration of the Games to guarantee crew accommodation is available.
Working in partnership with the airport Aviator can provide a complete accommodation solution for crew and visitors by dove-tailing information about the accommodation requests, aircraft handling and hectic flight schedules to make certain the busy period runs as smoothly as possible for aircraft crew. With tailored and bespoke packages Aviator is aiming to provide solutions for each specific client requirement.
"Farnborough is a dedicated Olympic airport which means it will be able to take advantage of the specific VIP transport routes to reach the venues. Crew will need accommodating whilst owners and clients are away and the Aviator is superbly positioned to offer a refreshing, relaxing, cost-effective alternative to central London accommodation," said Michael Helling, General Manager at Aviator.
For sports enthusiasts Aviator is ideally positioned to reach a number of key Olympic events. The popular rowing events taking place at Eton Dorney are just a thirty minute drive away. Sailing at Weymouth is easily accessible by train or car, and the main city sites are less than an hour away via the 35 minute fast train from Farnborough to London.
Aviator is expecting further bookings from the business community and has priced individual rooms at a competitive £295 rate, dramatically lower than equivalent central London based hotels. With proximity to the airport and ease of access to London via road and rail networks crew will be able to maximise the convenience of the hotel's location throughout the event. Bookings have already been secured from a number of large international corporates for the Olympic period.
"As the games approach we are encouraging handlers, crew and local businesses to make their bookings early. We are confident that with our stylish hotel, impeccable service and full understanding of business aviation, we can make the Olympic period a successful one for all who stay with us," continued Helling.
Elise Roberts from Aviator Hotel will be at the BAWE show in Cannes 23 and 24 February on the TAG stand number 10005.
