Al Bateen Executive Airport names Yousif Hassan Al Hammadi Acting General Manager.
Al Bateen Executive Airport, the Middle East's exclusive private aviation airport in Abu Dhabi managed and operated by Abu Dhabi Airports Company (ADAC), has named Yousif Hassan Al Hammadi as Acting General Manager, effective May 1st, 2012. Yousif will lead the day to day running of Al Bateen Executive Airport, dedicated to ensuring safe and secure operations at the region's premier venue for private aviation.
Yousif's appointment comes hard on the heels of the highly successful Abu Dhabi Air Expo at Al Bateen in March. Yousif, who was the Chairman of the organizing committee of Abu Dhabi Air Expo, was instrumental in the organization of the three-day inaugural event which attracted over 10,700 visitors, 105 exhibitors including OEMs such as Bombardier, Gulfstream, Eurocopter and Embraer and ratified business deals worth an estimated one billion Dhirams.

In addition to his executive role at Al Bateen, Yousif is President of the newly formed Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association, UAE (AOPA, UAE), President of the Emirates Aviation Association, Middle East Representative of IFATCA (the International Federation of Air Traffic Controller Associations ), President of the Gulf Aero sport Federation and UAE Vice President of FAI (the World Air Sport Federation) in which capacity he has chaired and organised numerous air shows and aeronautical events in different parts of the UAE under the patronage of their Highnesses the rulers of the UAE.
Al Bateen continues its upward trend which saw business aviation traffic grow 11% in 2011, with a successful first quarter in 2012, recording a 6% increase in aircraft movements compared with the same period last year and a 23% increase in visiting business aviation traffic over the same period. Al Bateen Executive airport registered 2,641 commercial aircraft movements in the first three months of 2012 of which 618 were itinerant movements of non-based aircraft visiting the airport.
Al Bateen Executive Airport will be participating at EBACE, Europe's premier business aviation show during 13-16th May Stand No 1943.
