London Luton-based executive ground transportation firm First Class Cars, is expanding its UK presence with the opening of a new base at TAG Farnborough Airport, the UK's only dedicated business aviation airport.
The move to extend the service's reach follows the anticipated increase in business driven by this year's Farnborough Air Show and the Olympics this summer. The new office will open by the end of May, initially with four cars and drivers based at the airport, complementing existing bases at Luton and Stansted.
"The decision to open at Farnborough, the UK's only dedicated business aviation airport, demonstrates our continued focus on the executive aviation sector," says Graham Coate, Managing Director and founder of First Class Cars. "With the upcoming summer events we know that there will be increased demand from existing and new clients, and we want to be ready for the increased business. We watch the trends in aviation to pick up on patterns that affect major business aviation hubs and adapt our service accordingly."
First Class Cars will also be working closely with the Aviator Hotel, adjacent to TAG Farnborough, to ensure seamless service from airport to hotel.
"First Class Cars is a respected name serving the business aviation community and we are pleased to welcome them to TAG Farnborough Airport," said Roger Walker, Director Airport Operations, TAG Farnborough Airport. "High quality ground transportation is an integral part of our bespoke offering. With its new location on-site, First Class Cars will be a valued addition to our unparalleled amenities and services."
Commenting on the successful growth of the business Coate highlights that attention to detail is one of First Class Cars' key foundations. "Our clients are used to having everything set in place for them so they can concentrate on their business, and that's what we strive for," says Coate.
To ensure efficient pick up and drop off First Class Cars uses a sophisticated flight tracking system which enables the monitoring of precise arrival times of jets, saving clients and charter brokers time and costs. Customised software Taximate ensures a cost efficient service with the use of a state-of-the-art vehicle tracking system providing updates of vehicle positions every 30 seconds, tracking of driver routes, anticipation of potential bottle necks and the ability to alert clients by text message when the vehicle arrives at their premises.
This newly purchased tracking system also enables drivers to notify the pilot of the car's arrival. For clients with young children First Class offers dedicated child seats, bottled water is available in all the cars and the drivers are all uniformed with tailored suits, each furnished with full knowledge of client destination, and the option to change routes as required.
First Class Cars has grown from a fleet of one vehicle originally driven by Coate himself, to a sizeable company employing knowledgeable, smart and customer focused drivers and a 30-strong fleet of premium vehicles, including the S-class Mercedes saloon, Mercedes Viano, Bentley Continental Flying Spur plus the very popular Rolls Royce Phantom.
Graham Coate from First Class Cars will be attending EBACE 2012 and will be lending expert opinion on the challenges of ground transportation at the Olympics.
