With severe disruption on the M4 motorway owing to unscheduled road works just west of Junction 2 this week, leading executive chauffeur company First Class Cars is advising executives to use the M3 when coming into Farnborough from London for the air show.
From the M4 a signed diversion route is in place on adjacent dual carriageways - the A312 and A4. First Class Cars are urging visitors to allow for extra time for their journeys - up to two hours from the popular hotspots of Mayfair and the West End.
The Mall and Constitution Hill have been closed for some time and further road closures will come into force in the run up to the Olympics - just a fortnight away now. Road painting for the dedicated Olympic lanes is currently being carried out at night.
First Class Cars opened its third UK base at Farnborough Airport this week, coinciding with the start of the show and is dedicating a number of vehicles to customers' needs. It is also running courtesy shuttle services throughout the duration of the week for TAG.
First Class Cars monitors live traffic conditions utilising a sophisticated bespoke software package that enables operations to locate their vehicles and reroute them according to traffic conditions. Taximate ensures a cost efficient service with the use of a state-the-art vehicle tracking system which provides updates of vehicles positions every 30 seconds, tracking of driver routes, anticipation of bottle necks and the ability to alert clients by text message when the vehicle arrives at their premises. Any road closures or traffic Incidents are then communicated to the relevant First Class Cars Driver so ensuring a seamless service for the customer.
First Class Cars has grown from a fleet of one vehicle originally driven by owner and Managing Director Graham Coate himself, to a sizeable company employing knowledgeable, smart and customer focused drivers and a 30-strong fleet of premium vehicles, including the S-class Mercedes saloon, Mercedes Viano, Bentley Continental Flying Spur plus the Rolls Royce Phantom. Headquartered at London Luton Airport, First Class Cars is also present at London Stansted and London Heathrow. It is also a regular at Cambridge and London Biggin Hill Airports too.
