The new shuttle service aptly named 'SkyWork Airport Shuttle' launched by service providers, SkyWork Travel, Aaretal Reisen, Hotel Schweizerhof Bern and Hotel Allegro Bern offers direct and convenient access from Bern Airport to Bern city centre in less than 30 minutes.
SkyWork Airport Shuttle will operate throughout the day for all SkyWork passengers and hotel guests. They will be able to enjoy direct and convenient city to city access from the City of London to the centre of Bern in around two hours journey time. Returning passengers can be picked up from the centrally located Hotel Schweizerhof Bern (adjacent to the main railway station) or the Hotel Allegro Bern and transported directly to Bern Airport.
The SkyWork Airport Shuttle can be booked for CHF 10.00 (approximately £6.60) one way or CHF 15.00 return (approximately £10) via SkyWork Airlines call centre on 0871 977 6088, direct at the ticket desk at Bern Airport or from reception at both the Hotel Schweizerhof Bern and the Hotel Allegro Bern (reservations must be made at least 24 hours in advance).
An electronic reservation system will be operational by September 2012. The new service will operate in conjunction with SkyWork Airlines' flight schedule offering maximum convenience to passengers.

SkyWork Airlines is further enhancing its connections programme from London City Airport, through its Bern hub, with the addition of 16 connections a week to its route network. Effective immediately, London-based SkyWork passengers can now enjoy connections from London City Airport to four new destinations - Belgrade, Thessaloniki, Split and Rijeka - via Bern, with the added benefits of a short and simple handling at Bern and competitively priced fares.

SkyWork's announcement comes hard on the heels of news that it will increase its frequency to three times daily (Monday to Friday) on its London City to Bern route from the start of its winter schedule on October 28th.
