AMAC Aerospace, a leading provider of corporate aviation maintenance and completion services, will be participating at the 9th bi-annual AIREX, the international civil aviation and airports exhibition at Ataturk Airport, Istanbul from September 6th to 9th 2012.
Its debut presence at the show coincides with the four year old company's inauguration of Istanbul-based AMAC Turkey and the completion of a three-storey sales and service centre. The new facility embraces 1,500 sqm of hangarage, 1,200 square meters of shop floor space and 300 square meters of office space. It is expected to be fully operational by the fourth quarter of 2012, with a team of 17 operating from the facility. The new structure will complement the extensive hangar facilities at AMAC's EuroAirport Basel Mulhouse, Switzerland Headquarters.
AMAC will also be exhibiting a Pilatus PC-12 at AIREX and offering demonstration flights for potential customers and media at the show, hard on the heels of its appointment as a fully authorised and exclusive Sales Centre for the PC-12NG in the Middle East. AMAC is marketing the versatile, high speed six-seater turboprop in Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Yemen, Kuwait, Iraq, Bahrain, Qatar, Syria, Jordan, Lebanon, Egypt and Turkey.
AMAC Aerospace will join a strong line-up of leading business aviation manufacturers, suppliers and aviation services companies already signed up for the show. "We are very pleased to showcase our company at the 9th AIREX show. It is a key industry event for the region and a well-timed opportunity for us to talk up our role as the exclusive sales distributers for the PC-12 in the region and promote the capabilities we can now offer through AMAC Turkey and AMAC Aerospace Services," said Mr Atilla Guney, Chief Operating Officer, AMAC Turkey.
AMAC Aerospace, founded four years ago, is headed by Executive Chairman & Group CEO Kadri Muhiddin (Founding member), Group COO Mr. Bernd Schramm (founding member), Group CFO Mr. Mauro Grossi (founding member) and Mr. Heinz Köhli (Founding member & Board member).
The company boasts a 500-strong workforce and an order book of US$1 billion plus. Its business is split 50:50 between VIP completions and maintenance work and its 23,000 sq ft hangarage facilities in Basel have the capability to accommodate four wide-body and four single-aisle large jets, plus lighter business jet types.
