Alison Price On Air has taken to two wheels to support its customer centric strategy which aims to provide clients with the best possible service at all levels.
A new Honda Diversion 700 motorbike, completely branded in the Alison Price On Air livery, has been added to the delivery fleet. It is already proving valuable for London operations as it provides an alternative method of delivering catering when London's roads are at their most congested. Along with a powerful engine to manoeuvre through the traffic, the bike also incorporates a 70cm by 70cm chill-box to maintain freshness and quality of the ingredients.
The bike will also support the increasing amount of last minute orders received by Alison Price On Air, as it can invariably reach the busiest London airports in a shorter time than the larger vans.
Put into service for the Olympics Daniel Hulme, MD of Alison Price On Air says of the decision to use two wheels: "We are always looking at ways of improving our service options for the clients. We wanted to be able to provide an efficient and seamless experience for crew and handlers that have last minute requests, and the bike enables us to deliver with much shorter notice to the London airports furthest from our London facility on the east side of the M25. We're anticipating we will use the bike mainly for last minute requests at Biggin Hill, Stansted and Luton, and maybe even Southend."
The bike will be ridden by a team of three specially trained riders who not only understand the intricacies of motorbike riding in London's busy streets but that have also been trained and cleared for airside delivery at London's leading business aviation airports. The bike, like the rest of the fleet, is fully insured for airside access, and represents the next step in the overall plan to extend the inflight executive catering services opening hours later this year.
