Budapest Airport welcomes Santa Claus.

Sunday 16th December 2012

Budapest Airport welcomed Santa Claus to the Hungarian capital earlier this month, much to the delight of local children from the neighbouring city of Vecsés.

The special guest arrived on Friday on Finnair flight AY753 from Helsinki with 139 passengers on board. The flight was greeted by local children and representatives of Budapest Airport including Gábor Szarvas Health and Safety, Environment & Community Affairs Director for Budapest Airport and the Finnish Ambassador, Pasi Tuominen.

A press conference was held in the Airpot Hotel before the children were transported to Vecsés to meet Santa Claus who presented them each with a gift. The event was supported by Budapest Airport, Finnair, Finnagora (Finnish Culture Institute), Malév Ground Handling, Airport Hotel and Le Meridien.
