As well as celebrating its 25th anniversary this year, Titan
Airways is enjoying strong sales in the tour operator market in 2013.
Titan Airways will be operating a variety of routes this summer on behalf of
a diverse mix of tour operators including: flights to Bergen for Norwegian
cruise specialist, Hurtigruten; flights to Calvi on behalf of niche tour
operator, Corsican Places; flights to Lourdes for pilgrimage tours experts,
Tangney Tours; and flights to Dalaman with upmarket Turkey specialist Exclusive
Escapes, who offer boutique hotels and luxury villas with pools on the unspoiled
Lycian Coast.
Tangney Tours, Hurtigruten and Corsican Places' flights will be operated by
Titan Airways Boeing 737-300 aircraft with 130 seats, while Exclusive Escapes'
flights will mainly be operated on Titan's Boeing 757-200 with 202 seats. The
all leather seats on both aircraft types offer a minimum 31 inch seat pitch. On
the B757 every seat row converts at the touch of a button from six abreast to
four abreast with a drop down central table making it possible to offer a split
standard/club class cabin. Exclusive Escapes will be making use of this
versatile seating to offer a premium service with the front 10 rows changed to
four abreast on flights to Dalaman.
Titan Airways Commercial Director, Alastair Kiernan, attributes Titan's
success with its varied tour operator clientele, not only to its flexible range
of aircraft, but also to its ability to carefully tailor its services to each
customer's unique requirements. "In terms of catering, for example, clients can
choose a simple buy on board kiosk service, a four course meal, or anything in
between. In addition, if desired, our aircraft can be branded inside and out
with client's own logos. And we can also meet special handling requests
including VIP handling."
Andrew Lee, Managing Director at Exclusive Escapes commented: "Our first full
season with Titan Airways in 2012 was a great success. Feedback from guests has
been very positive and the 'can-do' attitude from the Titan team, both inflight
and on the ground, makes them a pleasure to work with. We are delighted to
continue to provide this innovative experience for our guests for another
year."
Building on a strong performance in the summer market, Titan is also
expecting to increase its volume of charters operated on behalf of ski tour
operators for winter 13/14. "In addition to our established London Stansted
based ski flight programme, and in response to demand, we are looking at
increasing operations from London Gatwick for the winter season," Alastair
Kiernan confirmed.
