Budapest Airport celebrated the launch of two new SAS routes on Thursday, April 4th. The first SAS flight from Copenhagen, the Danish capital arrived in Budapest at 12:40 pm local time carrying passengers aboard a 150 seat, McDonnell Douglas MD-82 aircraft.Some 35 minutes later, Budapest Airport welcomed the first SAS flight from Oslo, Norway as a Boeing 737-800, touched down in the Hungarian capital at 13:15 pm.
Budapest Airport and SAS marked the inauguration of both routes with a press conference at the airport's modern SkyCourt Conference Centre. Jost Lammers, Chief Executive Officer of Budapest Airport welcomed distinguished guest speakers: Stefan Eiche, General Sales Manager of SAS; Karin Olofsdotter, Ambassador of Sweden; Chrtistine Petheö, Counsellor of Denmark and Tove Skarstein, Ambassador of Norway. The event culminated in a water cannon salute and cake cutting ceremony to coincide with the arrival of the two maiden flights which represent the start of year round schedules between Budapest and the Nordic capital cities.
Budapest to Copenhagen schedule
SAS will operate six times weekly Monday to Friday and Sundays.

Budapest to Oslo schedule
SAS will operate three times weekly on Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday.

Thursday:
Depart Oslo: 10:55 Arrive Budapest: 13:15
